Our Values

The legacy of John Rhodey, our founder, is reflected in the company’s ability to survive and thrive as a family business, even in times of consolidation and economic challenge. Since the company’s inception in 1972, John referred to his clients as friends and many deals were sealed on a handshake.

Our old-fashioned values still hold true today. Now run by John’s daughter, Pam Duffy, the company is listed among the top 10 women-owned businesses in St. Louis—a position earned from our strong core values and solid service.

Trusted Consistency

We pride ourselves on the relationships we’ve built with our longstanding clients due to our fair and honest approach to building. Our consistency comes in the form of accountability -we don’t cut corners- and our clients trust that we hold ourselves to the highest standards for our actions and words. We take responsibility for the commitments we make to our clients and employees and understand it is our solemn obligation to follow through. We will always be honest, impartial, fair and consistent in our interactions and decisions.

Collaborative Support

We’re not just a “boiler plate” general contractor. It is our job to ensure that all projects are organized and run smoothly, and we do it by getting to know the facilities people, end users and all involved. We empower our employees to make decisions and stand behind the choices they make. We seek the best solution to our client’s construction problems and go the extra mile to participate in open and honest conversations with clients and employees alike.

Humble Flexibility

They say actions speak louder than words, and we believe that listening to the needs of our clients, is the loudest action you can ever take. While we provide tangible solutions, we understand that challenges may arise. We are never too proud to adapt to our customer’s needs so that their expectations are always met.

Familial Approach

We are a family owned business run on family values. Once you work for Rhodey, you become part of our family. When clients partner with us, they are partnering with a firm that promises to treat everyone fairly.

Testimonials

Engineering Executive, Pharmaceuticals and Hospitals

In an industry too often characterized by transactional relationships, Pam's personal integrity and Rhodey's customer focused corporate culture foster long term partnerships with her clients.

Senior Project Manager, Alberici Constructors

I have had the opportunity to work with Rhodey on four projects over the last six years and I cannot speak highly enough about their professionalism and dedication to client satisfaction. All of the projects have been successful not only financially for the client but also in respect to safety and quality as well. Rhodey’s team has taken great care around the public and the animals and they been proactive in dealing with construction issues and mitigating impacts to the public, staff and animals. They have been a pleasure to work with!

Director, Washington University School of Medicine

Rhodey was simply fantastic dealing with all of our very specific needs and personalities and they really went above and beyond regarding keeping my faculty and division chiefs comfortable.

Vice President of Operations, LUXCO

I appreciated the professionalism and dedication to 'getting the job done' that Rhodey brought to our project. Rhodey made what we thought would be a very tough project to get done, relatively simple.

Project Director, Mallinckrodt

Rhodey worked hard to meet project objectives and deliverables. The Rhodey personnel were very cooperative and reflected a company approach of doing quality work.

Project Manager, Washington University

You all did a great job! I just came back to the office from the “Open House” that A&D conducted for the new occupants. Nothing but rave reviews! Washington University appreciates your hard work to get this designed in such a beautiful and efficient way, coordinated in such a smooth and timely fashion, and built with so few problems working in a tough environment.

Building Services Engineer, Ameren

I wanted to let you know how satisfied I am with the new truck shelter addition and crane enclosure at our Dorsett Building A. This was a very important project for me that had a lot of visibility and I am completely satisfied with the finished product and how safely this work was performed. A lot of the success of this project needs to go to both the Project Manager and the Superintendent for their hard work and dedication to customer satisfaction. They were key to making my job so much easier. I could not have asked for a better Project Manager and Superintendent team to work with. The construction phase of this project far exceeded my expectations and attention to detail. I really do look forward to hopefully working with both of these guys again in the future. Thanks to Rhodey and all of your subs for a job well done!

Our Partnerships

Your Best Build Resource

ASA-Midwest-Logo-150x150-150x150When we work with our partners, we leave our egos at the door, focus on their needs and on finding the best solutions to their challenges. It seems like a simple idea, but it’s the drop that creates a ripple and keeps our clients coming back time and time again. And while the project types may change, what we build remains constant… trust.

We will always be honest, impartial, fair and consistent in our interactions and decisions. In 1994, the local chapter of the American Subcontractors Association awarded Rhodey Construction with its first “General Contractor of the Year” award. As a leading general contractor in the St. Louis region, we’ve been nominated 23 years in a row and received the award in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2012, 2013, & 2015. Our passion for pleasing customers with exceptional construction results is the reason we are in business.

As a project manager, Andrew Barbarotta has to be prepared for anything. He could be putting the finishing touches on a new surgery center one day, and starting construction on an x-ray facility the next. That’s exactly how Andrew likes to work; managing every aspect of a project from estimating proposals to finalization.

Andrew Joined Rhodey in 2016 because they gave him the opportunity to do the kind of work he loves for a company he respects. He describes himself as a family guy and was drawn to Rhodey’s family atmosphere and culture. “They promote independence and personal growth, which is something many companies in this industry lack.”

He first worked with Rhodey during his 18 years as an architect in St. Louis. He was impressed with their professionalism and how expertly they served the needs of the architects and clients simultaneously. After transitioning into construction management and project management, he became completely aware of how rare some of those aspects were.

He has been pleased to find that his perceptions were the reality, and that the company he works for does put forth extra effort to make sure that nothing is sacrificed to ensure top-quality work. “Rhodey is everything I believed it to be.”

Becky Williamson is an estimator, predicting costs and length of projects while also anticipating the client’s needs and moving projects through the planning stages quickly and efficiently. But she’s always ready and willing to dive into a many other aspects of project management when needed. She fills out change orders, works with subcontractors and anything else that helps move a project towards completion. She works onsite coordinating with the other five Rhodey employees in that office, but has been known to hop on to other projects off-site, when needed.

Becky joined Rhodey in 2015, and has put her experience to quick use. She has a civil engineering degree from Vanderbilt and worked in general contracting in Tennessee before returning home to St. Louis to focus on estimating. She appreciates the flexibility that her job at Rhodey offers, but it’s the company’s particular philosophy that have convinced her how special working here is. “Rhodey has a philosophy of working with the owners and the subcontractors and being fair and even handed on both sides, serving both to make sure everyone has their needs met and the work gets done.”

Rhodey vice president Bernie Seiffert brings his take-charge personality to some of our most complex projects. He manages Rhodey’s longest-term client relationship, one that dates back to 1990, and leads ongoing work involving more than 100 projects per year. The keys to this lengthy business partnership, he says, are attitude and knowledge. “I have a positive attitude, and the clients are such great people. I love working with them. Because I’ve been working with them for so long, I know their business inside and out.”

Bernie’s innate organizational skills and extensive construction experience ensure that even the largest jobs run smoothly, with minimal downtime for critical manufacturing operations. He supervises process-related projects, building demolition, new construction, remodeling and general upgrades, and environmental remediation — all within the pharmaceutical industry, where regulations and requirements are complex.

More important, Bernie is known as a great communicator, and he works closely with project engineers, subcontractors and Rhodey employees dedicated to the client. He knows that coordinating multiple, concurrent projects takes a team effort — one that may involve hundreds of people —and also constant, one-on-one contact with the client.

With vice president Jim Feldmann, Bernie leads Rhodey’s safety initiatives, including ongoing training and compliance, project planning and post-construction audits to ensure our commitment to providing safe site conditions on every job.

Originally a cabinetmaker, Bernie was drawn to Rhodey’s emphasis on quality workmanship when he joined John Rhodey in the business. “I’m selling quality to our clients — that’s what I push. Quality means everything for where we are today. Repeat business is huge — there’s a trust factor that clients have because of our great work.”

Brian Smith is a project manager onsite for a long term client, so he has to be able to take on the diverse projects of a large pharmaceutical company. This means overseeing many different projects with a myriad of components; everything from structural and concrete work, to HVAC work specifically suited for the needs of a pharmaceutical manufacturer.

What drew him to Rhodey was taking on complex projects with unique challenges like construction of a 3 story mill designed to run wet and dry components, including a static floor to deal with all the powders in the air. He relishes the opportunity to work on every stage of these projects. “I like seeing a project from start to finish. To see the project as a whole.”

Brian joined Rhodey in 2014, having worked on projects with them before. He has worked as a contractor in the St. Louis area for over 24 years. He understands that Rhodey treats subcontractors and clients differently than their competitors. He knows what the subcontractors need from him, whether they are doing electrical, mechanical, sheet metal or carpentry work. His ability to see a project through to the end helps him serve the client’s needs as well as, allowing Brian to make sure that the project finishes on time and on budget.

Carpenter Foreman Craig Gamache began his carpentry apprenticeship in 2006 with Rhodey, and he went on to complete journeyman training in 2011. Today, he manages and oversees a variety of projects from start to finish. Whatever the project scope or size, Craig’s talents and skills are relied upon by his team.

A self-proclaimed “do-er,” Craig takes pride in doing what it takes to get the job done right, not only for himself, but also for the success of the project. As all aspects are underway, he focuses on three main things: craftsmanship, quality and efficiency. That focus carries through to the details, including doors, framing, wood blocking, hardware and trim. His greatest strength is his capability to handle all types of work in the field and he strives to maintain the highest standards and quality throughout

Adaptable and easy to work with, Craig’s favorite part of the project is its completion. He enjoys looking back on each part of the process, and what has been built and accomplished for the client. As part of the team, Craig gains tremendous satisfaction by doing his best work for Rhodey customers.

In 2016, Craig completed the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Superintendent Career Training Program.

Imagine managing a renovation project in a neonatal intensive care unit, while tiny babies are sleeping in the room and nurses are busy tending to their needs. That kind of project is Dan Barrow’s strong suit.

As superintendent, Dan has developed an expertise in renovation projects for medical facilities. His role involves managing manpower and scheduling to keep the job on track, and he oversees installation of complex equipment. More important, he collaborates closely with medical personnel to ensure that they can work uninterrupted, that hospital infection-control procedures are upheld and that patients don’t notice the construction going on around them. “The key to my job as superintendent is making sure everybody is happy — not just the employees, not just the bosses, but everybody,” he says.

Dan is attentive and accommodating, and he keeps in regular contact with project managers both on the client side and at Rhodey, communicating the job status, making needed changes and resolving problems. He’s particularly focused on scheduling — an attribute that clients value, because any delay can mean downtime for in-demand medical facilities and equipment.

As a leader, Dan seeks to identify the unique skills and talents in each team member and put those to best use on a project. He creates a working environment of mutual respect, where his team knows their work is valued. He takes seriously the trust that clients place in him and appreciates that they empower him to make smart decisions on their behalf.

Prior to joining Rhodey in 2002, Dan had a long career as a machinist and millwright. He was drawn to the company by its solid reputation and by the chance to work for a team where employees are treated fairly, respected and encouraged to perform at their highest level.

As project manager, Dennis Reller is the one planning the job and working with the superintendent to implement the plan on site. He knows how to take the client’s vision and implement it throughout the process. Dennis takes pride in leading a team of skilled workers to complete the job efficiently and safely. He keeps projects running on time and is adept at developing innovative solutions when unforeseen circumstances threaten to delay progress.

In the 25 years Dennis has spent working in construction from an owner’s and contractor’s perspective, he has learned that repeat clients are the hallmark of a great company. This is one thing that drew him to Rhodey – the many clients who come back to Rhodey time and again. “Rhodey is a relationship based contractor. We develop strong relationships with our clients, figure out how they do business and then use our knowledge and their trust in Rhodey to serve them in the best possible way.”

Dennis has experience in structural concrete, building industrial and manufacturing facilities, warehouses, schools, churches, as well as with river construction. After graduating from the University of Missouri, he worked for a multinational grain company in the Mississippi river delta for several years, before returning to Missouri and moving into general contracting. He has spent almost 16 years as a contractor in the St. Louis area, managing multiple projects in general and concrete construction with combined contract values exceeding 20 Million annually. He takes pride in his work, and is proud to work at a company that considers that essential to their success

Throughout his career, Duane Koerber has worked in many different areas of construction, so he understands all of the intricacies of a job site. Each particular aspect of a construction job presents its own challenges, which is why Duane’s experience makes him perfect to be the person in charge of tackling all of them.

As a superintendent he’s overseeing each job from beginning to end, ensuring it’s completed on time and under budget. He’s on the worksite every day making sure materials are in place and that the proper manpower is there to utilize them. He’s anticipating problems before they occur and crafting effective solutions. He knows that it is his job to make sure everyone else can do their job. “I’ve been around construction all my life. I’ve worked in just about every aspect of construction there is.”

Duane spent nearly two decades with a large finishing company before coming to Rhodey in 2014. Duane feels that, at Rhodey, he found a company that does for its employees what he does on the job site everyday. “Pam take care of her employees. She makes sure that they have everything they need to do their jobs as best they can. The entire company does.” He credits the family atmosphere and the people Rhodey hires as the reasons that they maintain such high levels of quality and satisfaction. Duane knows that he’s an essential member and leader on the Rhodey team and he doesn’t take that role lightly. He’s determined to do everything he can to make sure the work he does is up to the high standards that he, and the company he works for, have set.

General Laborer Foreman, Greg Stinchcomb has been with Rhodey since 2004, stepping in to do all types of jobs that needed to be done. Whether leading a group of subcontractors, or doing the work himself Greg is an enthusiastic and trusted member of the team. His goal is to establish a close working relationship with co-workers and clients from the start.

Greg’s strong work ethic is demonstrated by his effort to meet, and exceed customer expectations. He strives to beat each project schedule — before the client needs, asks for or expects the job to be finished. This is a refreshing twist in an industry where construction timelines and deadlines are consistently unmet.

Priding himself as a “self-starter” and the “gets things done” guy, Greg attributes his success to his ability to excel quickly in previous jobs with Southwestern Bell and Inland Container. In the past 10 years at Rhodey, Greg’s focus on customer satisfaction, providing a high level of service and building client trust, has resulted in additional work and helped to foster expanding relationships with both existing and new customers.

General foreman Jason Nipper has spent his career as a carpenter, and it shows in his workmanship and his emphasis on quality. When he can, Jason puts on his tool belt and works right alongside his crew; on larger projects, he takes more of a supervisory role.

In addition to carpentry skills, Jason’s communication ability comes into play on every project. He talks daily with the project manager to ensure the right manpower and plan out the phases of a build, and he’s a key on-the-job contact for the project architect. More important, Jason is great at communicating with our clients, because his hands-on involvement in the project means he can provide detailed information about the work in progress. “When you take pride in your work, and that shows through to the client, they feel confident in the crew that’s on the job,” he says.

Jason takes a highly solution-oriented approach to the building process, and he appreciates that he has the authority to make smart decisions on the fly when an unforeseen problem crops up. He’s earned the trust of the architects that Rhodey works with, who know that Jason has a great eye for aesthetics and can bring their vision to life.

Jason joined Rhodey in 2007, starting as a carpenter and working his way up to general foreman. Prior to coming onboard, he worked in residential construction building multimillion-dollar homes — those refined architectural designs, high-end finishes and luxury materials sharpened both his carpentry skills and his attention to detail. He enjoys working for a company that values both customers and employees highly: “I’ve always treated the guys I work with like I want to be treated: with respect. And Pam is that way, too.”

In 2015, Jason completed the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Superintendent Career Training Program.

Jim Combest began his career in the trade by hanging drywall at 19 years old. To expand his skills, he spent six years as an apprentice at Waterhout Construction, which led him to Rhodey in 2007. Today, Jim serves as Carpenter Foreman on a number of significant projects.

Jim‘s professional approach is based on three pillars: communication, a proactive style and safety. His management skills are one of his greatest assets, allowing him to effectively set realistic schedules that allow builders enough time to provide the highest quality work. Not wanting to hold up any progress on the job, Jim seeks out the right information at the onset of a project and gets questions answered right away. By being enterprising and looking ahead during each project, Jim often circumvents potential problems, and should they arise, addresses them right away. Safety is at the top of his list — he ensures that everyone is following the rules and that accidents just don’t happen.

Jim’s ultimate satisfaction comes from upholding the Rhodey standards of quality. He enjoys the variety of the job and finds it exciting to start the next project, meet fresh challenges and work with new people.

As vice president, Jim Feldmann takes the lead on Rhodey’s healthcare-related construction business. His 20+ years of experience gives him deep knowledge of medical facilities and a real sensitivity to the nature of these jobs. “I work with each institution’s facility and design team to develop a plan to keep the patients safe and the staff functioning,” he says.

Jim guides projects through the design development phase, providing valuable insights on construction feasibility and ensuring that renovation plans work with existing conditions and systems. He outlines each phase of construction (often involving simultaneous projects) to meet schedule and budget requirements while also respecting patient care.

With his strong communication skills, Jim maintains frequent contact with the client, subcontractors and with his right-hand man on the job: the superintendent. “Communication is key to being successful in this business. There are always issues that arise from field changes, conflicts in existing conditions or delayed lead times. As long as we communicate with each other, most situations resolve themselves easily.”

He earned his BS/BA degree in construction management with a minor in business from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. He also received his Healthcare Contractor’s Certificate training from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering.

Jim’s hands-on approach to each project begins with helping to determine specs and estimating. From there, he guides every aspect of the job, including field supervision, scheduling, client service, architect and engineer relationships, contracts and change orders, and preparing warranty packages as part of the closing phase. Jim takes a proactive and organized approach to project management, and he has an excellent track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.

After attending Fontbonne University as a business administration major, Jim owned his own concrete restoration company, where he directed projects at a high level and also managed day-to-day issues.

Jim’s experience as a subcontractor working with Rhodey introduced him first-hand to the exceptional way that our company values our suppliers and subcontractors as well as our clients. Jim recognized that these relationships — built on partnership and trust — make our company stand apart. “I liked the culture of the company from the contacts I had made there,” he says.

Rhodey superintendent Kenny Springer has nearly 30 years of hands-on construction experience under his belt, including a wide range of commercial and industrial work. He brings all of that expertise to his role as the leader who’s responsible for day-to-day field operations on a project.

As superintendent, Kenny establishes the detailed steps in the project schedule, manages manpower to that schedule, plans ahead and ensures that the work is done safely and with an eye to quality. A self-described ‘take-charge guy,’ Kenny has the expertise to spot potential problems, and he has the authority to make decisions on the spot: “If I see something in the plans or specs that strikes me as off, then I throw up the red flag and ask the architect to take another look. I make decisions on the fly, daily. When I go home, I know that I did the right thing, that I didn’t cut corners.”

Communication is one of Kenny’s strong suits, and he operates with honesty and openness. “That’s the key,” he says, “if you’re communicating with the owner and you let them know about a problem and don’t just sweep it under the rug. I let them know how I think we need to fix it, and they appreciate that.”

He’s the liaison between the customer and the subcontractors on the job, and he values both relationships. As a crew boss, he gets to know what motivates the employees and subcontractors on the team; he provides direction without micromanaging. Particularly when working in a healthcare environment, Kenny sets high expectations that workers do their jobs with respect and compassion for patients and medical staff.

Kenny joined Rhodey in 2011, thanks to a referral from another Rhodey employee. Having worked for larger contracting firms, he appreciates the fact that we’re smaller and more family-oriented. “When you’re with a larger company, you’re just a number,” he says. “Rhodey isn’t like that. They need you, and they let you know that they need you.”

Mackenzie Seiffert has literally grown up with the company founded by her grandfather, John Rhodey. She knows Rhodey’s team well — and many of our clients, too — because she began working in the business part-time at age 16.

Mackenzie joined her mother, Pam Duffy, in the family company as a full-time employee in 2007. As project engineer, she works to keep client projects organized, coordinates with subcontractors and suppliers, documents key meetings and facilitates clear communication among the team and clients. Mackenzie’s work is instrumental in enabling project managers to focus on delivering great work that surpasses our clients’ expectations.

With a Bachelor’s degree from Benedictine College and an MBA from Lindenwood University, Mackenzie brings strong organizational and communications skills, the ability to work under deadlines, and strategic business training to her role at Rhodey.

More important, she continues her grandfather’s values and vision for the company. As part of the family whose name is on the door, Mackenzie takes great personal pride in everything she does. She grew up embracing the company’s values as her own, and she learned from both John and Pam the importance of building relationships based on trust and doing whatever it takes to make our clients happy.

As superintendent, Rich West is the man in charge on the job site, the leader who establishes the preparation and construction schedule, synchronizes all the components of the work, ensures project safety, and manages the building crew, vendors and subcontractors. He spends long days, every day, supervising the process of transforming a client’s vision into reality.

Rich works closely with the project manager, and his experience includes overseeing complex multimillion-dollar, multi-year projects, such as Sea Lion Sound at the Saint Louis Zoo. A knowledgeable problem-solver, Rich is dedicated to advocating on behalf of the client and delivering great customer service. Just as important, he’s an experienced leader who understands how to earn the respect of his team, ensure safety and promote quality workmanship. “You’re only as good as the team you’re working with,” he says.

Rich has spent his career hands-on in the construction trade, beginning with a union apprenticeship in 1986. His work experience includes carpentry and custom cabinetry, general contracting and subcontracting, and managing construction teams and job sites. He continues to update his skills and credentials through ongoing safety and management courses.

Rich appreciates Rhodey’s small-team approach to managing even the largest projects, which ensures streamlined communication and personalized client service. While he’s not one to pat himself on the back, he takes great satisfaction in creating great work within our family-owned company.

Rich’s notable training includes: OSHA 10- and 30-hour classes, 8 hour certification for aerial lift training, scaffold erection, 16 hour UBC millwright safety training, 8 hour courses in standardized safety and health awareness, rigging and signaling, and UBC superintendent jobsite management course.

As superintendent, Rob Breunig emphasizes value, performance, quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Rob’s critical role involves coordinating fieldwork and manpower for a variety of construction projects — some with very large crews.

Rob is part of the reason why Rhodey enjoys a strong reputation among the valued subcontractors and business partners we’ve worked with for years. Rob is accessible, flexible and accommodating, and he treats our partners and clients with respect. “For Rhodey to go above and beyond, we need strong relationships with our subcontractors and suppliers,” he says. “They’ll provide what we need, when we need it, to get the job done on time and under budget.”

An experienced construction professional, Rob knows that planning and anticipation help the team work efficiently. When issues arise related to scheduling, design or engineering, Rob listens to both subcontractors and the client and solves problems in a way that keeps the project moving forward and meets the customer’s needs.

Prior to joining Rhodey in 2005, Rob worked with an Illinois construction company, where his project portfolio included new construction and renovations for education, commercial and industrial clients. He has a BS/BA degree from Illinois State University.

Rob appreciates that Rhodey doesn’t pursue profit at the expense of values and service. “John Rhodey once told me when I was considering going to work for Rhodey Construction, ‘Rob, if you don’t have ethics, you have nothing.’ I thought to myself, ‘This is the company I want to work for.’”

When Ron Unterreiner joined Rhodey in 2006, he brought years of deep experience in design/build construction and a strong commitment to client service.

Throughout his career, Ron’s leadership has steered growth and success for companies in the construction field. He helped transform a small contracting company into a $600 million nationwide enterprise, then went on to initiate a new design/build division for a national engineering and architectural firm. He’s also had experience launching and running his own successful general contracting firm.

Ron’s financial expertise and leadership experience equip him well for his role at Rhodey, where he focuses on the critical tasks of developing new business, planning for future growth and nurturing our existing customer relationships. Our company and our clients equally benefit from Ron’s sincerity, energy, problem-solving nature and willingness to roll up his sleeves to help others.

Ron thrives on the excitement of starting a new building project, and he takes pride in serving clients so well that they come back to Rhodey again and again. He joined our company because his philosophy of doing business — caring for clients and employees, doing great work and letting success follow — matched perfectly with Pam Duffy’s vision for Rhodey.

A self-described “huge family man,” Ron appreciates Rhodey’s environment, where every customer, every vendor, every employee is valued. “We treat everyone with respect, and we’re extremely good at working with all parties involved on problems, questions or concerns,” he says.

Ron stays involved in business and community activities, including:

Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) —Program Sponsorship Chairman, Member of Steering Committee

International Facility Management Association (IFMA)

St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers

Steve LeBrell serves as a superintendent for healthcare-related construction, and he manages some of Rhodey’s most challenging projects that involve medical personnel and their patients. When clients hire Rhodey to expand or renovate existing facilities, Steve is dedicated to coordinating with employees so that care is minimally disrupted.

Our healthcare clients tell us they particularly respect Steve’s conscientious, solution-oriented approach and his willingness to be
flexible and accommodating when the construction team is working around patients and visitors. And they value Steve’s leadership in ensuring stringent compliance with infection-control procedures.

Steve’s superintendent role involves overseeing construction, managing sizable crews and subcontractors, and coordinating schedules. A self-described do-er, he enjoys hands-on work in addition to supervising others. He collaborates closely with
facility managers, project managers, charge nurses, security and infection-control experts. “I do a lot of coordinating, personally
walking through the project with the client to make sure the details are covered and that they’re happy. If there’s ever any question
or any need, I’m right there on the job and can take care of it.”

After several years in commercial and residential construction, Steve joined Rhodey in 1988. He recall’s John Rhodey’s business philosophy, one that Pam has carried on. “John’s concept on the job was that he wanted things done right, and he didn’t care what it took. That, and their great reputation. My work reflects my reputation and the company’s.”
